Job Description
The Lean Management Manager will be responsible for spearheading lean initiatives and driving continuous improvement efforts within their operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of lean principles and methodologies, coupled with a proven track record of success in implementing lean practices in the sector.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement lean strategies and initiatives to optimize operational efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity across all areas of the automotive operations.
Lead cross-functional teams in identifying process improvement opportunities, conducting value stream mapping, and implementing lean tools and techniques such as 5S, Kaizen, SMED, and visual management.
Coach and mentor employees at all levels of the organization on lean principles and methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee empowerment.
Drive standardization and best practices in lean management across multiple sites and departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including production, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams, to streamline processes, improve workflow, and optimize resource utilization.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational excellence initiatives..
Develop and deliver training programs and workshops on lean principles and methodologies to build organizational capability and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in lean management, preferably in the automotive sector.
Strong expertise in lean principles, methodologies, and tools, with a proven track record of successful lean implementation and transformation initiatives.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Experience with lean management systems, continuous improvement methodologies, and digital transformation initiatives.
Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken and conversational in German language is a must!
