Dye Lab Manager

Our Customer, Jade Textile Egypt, an affiliate of Yeşim Textile Turkey, is a globally recognized leader in the textile industry, specializing in the production of sportswear for some of the world’s most renowned apparel brands. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Dye Lab Manager to join their team in Cairo-Egypt.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the field, a strong technical background, and a proven ability to lead and innovate in dyeing operations.

Key Qualifications:

Tertiary education in Textiles, I.T, or related fields.

Dye Lab Manager must have certifications for customer accreditations (Nike, CAP, Adidas, or other brands).

A minimum of 10 years' experience in the field.

Knowledge of Datacolor device & software.

Experience with Color Match software and program.

Preferable knowledge of Dye Lab Dispensing systems (Technorama, Odesi, Ahiba, etc.).

Expertise in Diapers, Reactive, and Cationic dyestuff & dyeing methods.

Proficiency in English

Turkish or Arabic is a plus (not obligatory).

Required Attributes:

Good eyesight (no color blindness) and Munsel eye-test validation.

Proven good conduct and performance record, including good attendance.

Strong reading, writing, and numeracy skills.

Good health and physical condition to meet job demands.


General Responsibilities:

Maintain Health & Safety standards as per Safety Act; ensure good housekeeping.

Monitor and control employee conduct and performance, including attendance.

Record incidents and training needs in the action file.

Ensure performance levels meet targets such as delivery times, stock levels, costs, and budget.

Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as efficiency, training, reprocess rates, and utility consumption.

Continuously investigate ways to improve machinery and equipment performance and reduce downtimes.

Recruit, develop, and manage employees to meet department needs.

Work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining clear communication across all teams.


Specific Responsibilities:

Liaise with planning and dyehouse departments.

Investigate new processing techniques, chemicals, and dyestuffs.

Ensure ‘Right First Time’ (RFT) lab-to-bulk processes and customer deliveries.

Match new shades in less than 3 days and existing shades in less than 2 days.
