PLANT MANAGER


We are currently seeking a highly skilled Factory Manager to be based in Romania, with a strong background in both operational management and engineering..

The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the plant, meeting production goals, and maintaining a safe working environment. This is a leadership role that requires strong managerial skills and a deep understanding of plant management processes. 

The Plant Manager plays a crucial role in driving operational excellence within the facility. As a critical and independent thinker, they lead and manage all plant operations, encompassing Production, Maintenance, Quality, HR, Finance, IT, and any other production-related activities on-site. This leadership extends beyond direct oversight, focusing on guiding and directing other leaders within the facility. The Plant Manager facilitates performance management processes with input from relevant stakeholders, ensuring a collaborative approach to employee development. 

Beyond operational excellence, the Plant Manager actively participates in the management of the Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health (ESOH) systems. This includes ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies, observing, and supporting ESOH goals, and providing the necessary resources to uphold these important standards. 


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree Engineering, or a related field

Candidates with significant experience in managing complex manufacturing operations will be highly preferred.

5-10 years of experience as a Plant Manager. Proven experience in plant management or a similar leadership role.

Good knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO/TS 16949, Ford Q1

Effective leadership skills, analytical thinking, results driven approach, strong problem solving skills and outstanding communication ability.

Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles, 5-S, Kanban, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis

Proficient in English language skills, Bi-lingual candidate Highly desired

Exceptional leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and inspire teams

Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization 


Responsibilities: 

Ability to effectively interact with the corporate cross functional team including Production,Quality, Logistics, Finance, HR and EHS,  Work effectively with all functions to ensure plant and business objectives are met. 

Possess solid financial background and manufacturing experiences to understand daily, monthly, and annual impacts and drivers of material yield, off grades, reliability, OEE, and labor productivity for plant. 

Develop, implement, coordinate, review, evaluate and improve the procedures and policies of the company, in addition to activities and initiatives. 

Implement cost-effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries. Keep track of budgets, and collaborate with partners, investors, Sales, Finance and Accounting departments to discuss strategies and thus be able to achieve all the economic objectives of the company. 

Overall management responsibility for all aspects of quality including product performance, complaint resolution, customer satisfaction and maintenance and improvement of quality systems 

Determine and coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to ensure the manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner. 

Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards. 

Control and minimize overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses. 

Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary. 

Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs. 

Motivate, inspire, and communicate with employees. Gain confidence, gain influence and credibility within the organization to cultivate and maintain good working relationships. 

Ensure all legal requirements, company safety procedures, and local and state health and safety regulations are met. 

Plans and monitors both short and long-term budgets to ensure the plant meets the sites financial commitments. 

Develop and coach teamwork and collaboration within the entire site that improves plant culture and drives business results 

Ability to lead and develop salaried team of technical engineers, dept managers and supervisors 

Direct activities in Employee Relations that drives development and accountability, as well as increases engagement and retention within the team.
